An independent, 80 year old theater in Minneapolis keeps up by playing classic films and hosting events, combined with its next door restaurant, Pepito’s. Parkway incorporates live music and video for hourly rental reunions, screenings, seminars, business meetings, and private parties every day of the week. The vision for this historical monument is to provide artistic events to the neighborhood. In 2006, this theater was rumored to be sold and torn down for a new business venture. Actor Joe Minjares refused to see it leave. He bought the theater and worked hard to preserve it and see it live on.
